LORIN LABORATORY
COLOR & ANODIC LAYER CONFIRMED
Lorin’s in-house laboratory is a fully capable lab that we use for in-house testing and color-matching. We measure and test the color value according to the Hunter L. A. B. 3-dimensional color scale, anodic layer (using ASTM B137 testing) and gloss to verify that all are in specification multiple times during each manufacturing run.
COLOR MATCHING
We know how important color can be and we use our lab to create color match samples for the customer to approve prior to running the material on our lines. This provides an added level of assurance that you will get what you ask for.
WEATHERABILITY
Lorin has an Atlas Weatherometer to perform accelerated weathering tests on our materials to make sure they stand the test of time.
ADDITIONAL ASSURANCE
Lorin performs other testing such as Salt Spray, Anodic Layer Seal Quality, and Abrasion Resistance.
ANODIZED ALUMINUM SHEETS
Lorin Industries produces the highest quality anodized aluminum on the market. We also offer custom cut-to-length anodized aluminum sheet services for our clients who require or prefer leveled sheeted material.
Lorin delivers the following range of anodized sheet segment sizes:
- Gauge Range: 0.004″ (0.1mm) up to 0.080″ (2.0 mm).
- Loading Width Range: 7″ (178 mm) up to 62″ (1575 mm).
- Cut Segment Length: 8″ (203 mm) up to 182″ (4622 mm).
We’re here to help you reflect your vision in the beauty of anodized. We work to deliver reliable service and exceptional quality anodized aluminum sheets in any size.
COIL SLITTING SERVICES
By providing our clients with coil slitting services, we have the capability to slit the anodized coil into multiple widths. We have two slitters, each designed for specific markets, applications and capabilities. This ensures that the finished coil is handled minimally and the delivered product is “ready to use” at the factory or job site.
Anodized coils can be slit in gauges ranging from 0.008”/0.2 mm to 0.100”/2.5 mm. Although, slit widths ranging from 0.75”/19 mm to 56”/1422 mm can be accommodated. Up to 34 slit cuts per coil can be performed.
SHEARING
In a similar fashion, Lorin Industries offers cut-to-length sheet services for clients requiring flat sheeted material. Lorin is careful to use roller levelers so as not to damage the anodic layer as tension levelers can. Here, too, Lorin is prepared to deliver reliable services and offers the following capabilities:
Anodized coils can be cut to length in gauges ranging from a minimum of 0.004” (0.1 mm) up to 0.080” (2.0 mm).
Loading widths ranging from a minimum of 7” (178 mm) to a maximum of 62” (1575 mm) can be accommodated.
Cut segments can range in length from a minimum of 8” (203 mm) to a maximum of 182” (4622 mm).
