Arc Latin America 2019

Leading firms and Lorin discuss the future of Latin American architecture

Arc Latin America is neither a traditional trade show nor an event centered on seminars. Instead, this “unique forum for decision-making Principal Architects from the region’s leading firms to meet with international product suppliers” consists of a series of 30-minute meetings, where architects and experts discuss architecture and materials. From June 20–23 at the Westin Playa Bonita Resort, Panama City, Panama, experts from Lorin will meet the region’s leaders in architecture and discuss the benefits of Lorin coil anodized aluminum for cutting-edge architectural projects in Latin America and beyond. So, what do we focus on in the short span of 30 minutes?

Lorin aims to raise awareness of coil anodized aluminum’s benefits compared to other options, like painted aluminum, bronze, copper, zinc, stainless steel, titanium, brass, or gold. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that builds an anodic layer from the aluminum, bonding it to the surface at the molecular level, thus protecting the aluminum from the elements. Lorin offers a wide variety of shades, and the durable material will not chip, flake, peel, or corrode. It also resists scratches and requires very minimal maintenance. During these conversations, Lorin experts will answer architects’ questions and dispel some common myths about the material. Our goal: reveal the unique characteristics of Lorin anodized aluminum to the best and brightest Latin American architects so, when their imaginings would otherwise prove impossible to realize, they know that our material can help them reflect their vision.

Lorin experts will embrace the opportunity to discuss architectural trends around the world, and how Lorin coil anodized aluminum meets these trends. For example, Lorin’s Stainless and Copper series can match natural metal looks while offering superior performance and durability for a better return on investment. Experts will also discuss environmental design trends. Architects working on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building projects can use 100% recyclable and zero VOC emitting Lorin anodized aluminum for metallic ceiling tiles, paneling, exterior wall cladding, backsplashes, column covers, decorative trim, and more.

We’re consistently inspired by the creativity of our architectural partners, and Arc Latin America is a valuable chance to think and talk about the design of the future in Latin America with the firms setting the trends. Whether these innovators embrace Lorin anodized aluminum for grand exterior facades, detailed interior flairs, or other applications, we look forward to seeing where the conversation leads.
