Petersen Stocks Lorin’s Anodized Aluminum

By Steven Soderberg, Lorin Industries, Inc.

Lorin Industries, Inc. is partnering with Petersen, a manufacturer of PAC-CLAD wall and roof panel systems in multiple gauges of steel and aluminum. With this partnership, Petersen is now stocking Lorin’s durable, beautiful anodized aluminum in a multitude of finishes—including ClearMatt®, ColorIn® BlackMatt, and ColorIn® LA Extra Dark Bronze—and in a variety of gauges. This stocking partnership allows fabricators, architects, construction professionals and more, greater access to Lorin’s Anodized Aluminum.

Lorin Industries and Petersen were both founded over 50 years ago, and so they bring a combined experience of over 100 years to help customers achieve architectural feats that reach new heights of success and sophistication.

Lorin’s anodized aluminum’s unique look and durability, as well as Lorin’s expertise as an industry leader attracted Petersen to the partnership. Lorin’s coil anodizing process builds an anodic layer from the aluminum, bonding it to the surface at the molecular level, thus protecting the aluminum from the elements. The anodized aluminum will not chip, flake, peel, or corrode and also resists scratching. With a surface hardness, as measured on the Mohs Hardness scale, comparable to sapphire, and corrosion resistance that leaves the metal unaffected by salt and air, coil anodized aluminum provides durable beauty that cuts maintenance costs while providing added environmental benefits. Additionally, Lorin’s coil anodized aluminum can be made in numerous colors and it will provide multiple options to Petersen in a variety of gauges.

Petersen serves markets including housing, commercial, academia, resorts, to name a few, by providing materials and systems to architects, fabricators, construction professionals, and more. The partnership between Petersen and Lorin empowers Petersen to provide the beauty, performance, and durability of Lorin’s coil anodized aluminum to these diverse market segments.
